Life With Down Syndrome

Like all children, those with Down syndrome will learn and develop, but often at a different rate than an average child. Their development can be enhanced with specialist therapy and help at school.

People with Down syndrome are fully participating members of their families and their communities and can be valuable members of society when their communities recognise and allow them to develop their full potential.

For more information about the health, education, employment and housing for people with Down syndrome, please go to our Support section.
