People with Down syndrome are fully participating members of their families and their communities. When communities, classrooms, organisations, and society more generally recognises the individuality and potential of people with Down syndrome, it leads to better outcomes for the person with Down syndrome as well as their whānau, peers, and the wider community.

For more information about the health, education, employment, and housing for people with Down syndrome, please go to our Support section.
