For People With Down syndrome

People with Down syndrome enjoy amazing and exciting lives around New Zealand. Some might achieve extraordinary things at work, in sport or the arts, while other prefer the quiet life in their community, simply enjoying their family and their friends.

We know people with Down syndrome of all ages, like to see stories about other people with Down syndrome, so this section of the website, as well as our quarterly journal is dedicated to you telling your stories.

The NZDSA has created a self-advocacy group called STRIVE made up by young people with Down syndrome who want encourage others to reach their full potential, and the STRIVE team is giving us directions on what you like to see on your website.

This page will also include links to people and organisations in your own area that might be helpful to know.
And don’t forget, if you have a story to tell, please contact the NZDSA and let us know. We’d love to hear from you.
